This is a nicely shaped and decorated Sugar pot. A handmade, hand painted porcelain item with overglaze and underglaze Blue enamel. It has beautiful white porcelain. The flower appliques are so beautiful. Additional information: Material: Porcelain & Pottery Japanese Style: Hirado Region of Origin: Japan Period: 19th century Meiji Periode (1867-1912) Original/Reproduction: Original Condition: Small restored chip to one of the appliques, 2 small missing pieces to appliques and two missing pieces on top. Also a chip with mini line to inside lid. Dimension: 12 W x 21 D x 17 H cm

The coffee pot body is plain and encompassed with an applied moulded girdle to the upper portion. This exceptional coffee pot is fitted with the original push fit cover, encompassed with a palmette leaf style border to the rim. The cover is surmounted with an impressive cast silver foliated finial. This coffee pot is fitted with an elongated handle overlaid with the original interwoven wicker, strategically interlaced to produce a segmented braided design; this finely detailed feature indicates the high quality of the piece. The pot detaches from the original hallmarked silver stand, supported by four impressive scrolling legs.
