An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service in the Art Deco style; an addition to our silver teaware collection This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver four piece tea and coffee service/set consists of a coffee jug, teapot, cream jug and sugar bowl. The pieces of this vintage silver tea set have a plain rectangular rounded form onto a collet frame with integrated stepped bracket style feet, all in the iconic Art Deco style. The surface of each piece is plain and embellished with an impressive applied egg decorated border to the upper portion. The coffee jug and teapot are fitted with plain subtly domed hinged hallmarked covers, surmounted with the original iconic Art Deco style satin wood topped finials, securing to the interior with a wing nut. The teapot and coffee jug retain the original fine and impressive angular C shaped carved wood handles incorporating an unusual inset satin wood thumbpiece, all in the stepped Art Deco style. Each piece of this fine set has a plain rectangular cushion shaped form onto a stepped collet style base with Art Deco bracket style feet. The surface of this impressive vintage Art Deco tea set is plain and unembellished, with an applied reed decorated border to the upper portions. The coffee jug and teapot are fitted with hallmarked hinged covers and retain the original Art Deco style painted carved wood finials; the hinge to each piece is ornamented with an applied pendant drop design.
