Coffee set by Hans Bunde for Cohr Silverware in the 1950s - elegant set of silver plate creamer, sugar bowl and coffee pot with Bakelite handle. An elegantly shaped coffee set, featuring a coffee pot with Bakelite handle and small lit op top, a sugar bowl with lit and a creamer with silver plate handle. All three pieces are marked underneath with Cohr, Denmark, a small flame and EPNS. The tight lines and the combination of the matte dark Bakelite and the shinny bright silver plate makes this coffee set a true Classic midcentury design piece. Danish silversmith Hans Bunde designed this beautiful set in the 1950s for Cohr Silverware, as he was head of design. Bunde was one of the most important designers behind the success of Cohr, as he designed award winning silverware characterized by beautiful clean lines and function - today many of his product are highly demanded when they occasional appears on auctions. Beautiful coffee set that would suit any coffee table adding a touch of Danish midcentury design and when not used, it makes for a lovely contemporary display piece. Condition: This coffee set is sourced from a single owner, who kept the original jeweler box set - all pieces are in very good, near excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of usage and age.
