About the Item

Baroque style solid silver tureen. The body of the tureen is round where embossments have been made with volute designs and acanthus leaves. Hand knurling was carried out between the embossed work and the polished parts. Some parts of the scrolls have been lightly frosted. The two handles with flower and leaf decoration were made with the fusion technique. The lid knob is also cast, where a round-shaped malachite has been positioned as a further decoration. The support is round with the same embossed workmanship which faithfully reproduces the workmanship of the tureen. Feet in the shape of acanthus leaves made with the fusion technique were positioned under the support of the tureen.
