Fine English Staffordshire Majolica Lion Handled Tureen Lidded Dish

A scarce fine quality antique English Staffordshire pottery majolica tureen covered serving dish.
Having a fitted lid surmounted with figural reclining lion finial with hand painted detailing, atop intricate polychrome glazed sculptural fiolate decoration, above shaped deep dish body with protruding lion head handles. No apparent markings.
Dimensions:
16” Wide, 10” High, 9” Deep
A superb museum quality example that makes for a visually striking table centerpiece, unique decorative object, or functional serveware.
Excellent original antique / vintage condition. Presents splendidly, with great design, finely defined moldings, rich coloring, and no chips or cracks.
