Table Centrepiece Tureen with Shell in Portuguese Earthenware
About the Item
Table centrepiece, tureen with shell, in Portuguese faience. Exuberant decoration, with a body richly decorated with reliefs in shades of cream and brown, holes that serve as vents so that it can hold potpourri and let the scent emanate. The side handles are elegantly crafted, harmonising with the delicately ornamented structure.
The lid of the tureen is one of its great attractions, boasting an exuberant three-dimensional floral decoration made up of roses, pansies and leaves in vibrant shades of red, green and yellow, which add a touch of colour and refinement to the piece. The base follows the same decorative style.
