Rare Antique Scandinavian / Icelandic Tankard with Lid (ca. 1830–1850s) – Museum-Quality Collectible This exceptional Rustic antique is a traditional Icelandic / Norwegian / Scandinavian food storage container or butter form, a rare and primitive folk art masterpiece from the first half of the 19th century. Handcrafted from natural pine, it features intricately carved patterns on its lid and a stunning rustic patina that reflects its age and historical use. Key Features: -- Dating: Circa 1830–1850s -- Material: Solid pine -- Design: Hand-carved decorative motifs on lid reverse, scorched pattern around body and on lid. Scorched initials under "K.H." -- Condition: Authentic aged patina, structurally intact, some age-related traces consistent with its age.
