Gadget-system walking stick with bag holder function, Germany, 1920s.

About the Item

Gadget-System cane: cane with bag holder function. Curious stick used to carry shopping bags, made with two upside-down V-shaped wooden shafts, ending with two small iron and rubber wheels. Under the handle there are two hooks (one on the right and one on the left) to attach the bags in a balanced way. Once closed, two straps block the two overlapping barrels. Rods and handle in painted fruitwood. Marktroller, Germany, 1920s.
