About the Item
Very large decorative antique copper funnel used for decanting Champagne.
This object was made in Ay, Marne, France. One of the Grand-Cru Champagne regions in France.
Its size and patina has a real wow factor.
It is marked with a stamp:
Courtois, AY, 1806, Marne and the letters G F
In fair used condition with the usual blemishes, scratches, small dents used objects have.
The inside is lined with tin.
I haven't attempted to polish or clean it, inside or out, as I don't want to spoil it wonderful patina.
