An impressive large Mayan Poly-chrome painted ceremonial pottery bowl Guatemala/ central America late Classic period, circa A.D. 550-950, A Beautiful large bowl of tapering circular form with bifurcated sides on a tapering slanted base, painted with hieroglyphics and zoomorphic designs Measures: Diameter 12 1/4" 31 cm, height 4 1/4" 10 cm Condition: rejoined from large fragments with 3 small missing areas restored Ex UK collection before 1960 Condition: original archaeological patina wear consistent with age.
