Scandinavian Stump Chair, Late 1700s - Early 1800s
About the Item
A beautiful stump chair with beautiful scars and wonderful repairs that add to its charm and uniqueness. The chair was aquired from Sweden and is most probably from a Swedish origin. It seems to be from the late 1700s or early 1800s. The wood has cracked in many places and was repaired along the years with metal studs connecting the pieces. The chair slightly swivels when moved but is quite sturdy and can be used and not only as a decorative object. Truly one of the oldest and nicest stump chairs to have come to our collection.
