Early 20th Century Rare Chicken Fairground Target Panel from Paris

About the Item

Early 20th Century Rare Chicken Fairground Target Panel from Paris Made from pine and papier Mache with hand painted detail. Known as a Passé Boule in France these fairground amusement examples were used as fairground games requiring customers to throw small balls or sand bags into the mouths of these handmade panels. Still with its original pine support stand in place and in overall very presentable condition. These examples are now becoming rare due to the material they were made from and becoming damaged over the years. We luckily uncovered this example from a private fairground collector in Paris early this month. Dimensions in inches: H 27” x W 19” x D 4” Age: Early 20th Century Origin: France (Paris) Condition: Aged In overall very presentable condition, this item shows signs of wear and tear in the form of loss of paint, missing detail and faded surfaces. No real structural damage which makes this item rare. Please remember this item is old and made from pine and paper which is reflected in the items condition which we have tried to show in the photos provided. We strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment upon purchase.
