Round Ceramic Decorative Souvenir Tourist Plate from Oregon in Blue and Gold

About the Item

Unique ceramic circular blue and gold souvenir plate from Oregon. This beautiful plate is round in form, and features scalloped pierced edges. The piercings are quatrefoil in shape. The edges almost resemble a starburst in how they extend from the center of the plate. The blue around the edges is a pearlized blue color, and alternates between scallops between the pearlized blue and gold. The technique in which the blue and gold has been applied shows slight brush strokes. A lovely detail that makes this piece unique. Inside at the center of the plate, scenes of Oregon are artfully applied. Such as Mt. Thielsen & Diamond Lake, Multnomah Falls, Mt. Hood, Bonneville Dam, Crater Lake and the State Capital. Atop the scenes, the Oregon state seal in yellow appears, and is flanked by bouquets of pink and yellow flowers. The back has no markings or stamps, and features two holes at the base of the rim with attached hanging rope. How we would style it: We love collectors items. And we love the idea of adding this to a collection of other state plates. (Having one from every American State would make for a fantastic gallery wall!) Alternatively, this could also be a piece used on a coffee table to display collected items, as a valet on a dresser, or as a catchall on a small bamboo table (on the bottom shelf) for small items or to set a bouquet of flowers upon. It’s a beauty. Dimensions: 8" x 8" x 1" Weight: 0.7 lbs.
