Painted, American, Fox & Geese Game Board
$2,300List Price
About the Item
Painted, American, Fox & Geese game board in scarlet red and mustard. Made during the mid-19th century on a wonderfully crude, hand-planed, wooden plank, the polychrome surface has great craquelure and patination. A Parcheesi board is painted on the reverse in burgundy red, cheddar orange and black.
Condition: Expected wear from lots of use. The reverse is especially worn.
Mounting: A custom-made bracket was cleverly made for wall display in such a manner that no holes needed to be drilled in the game board.
