Mid-Century Modern Era Indigenous American Miniature Souvenir or Toy Teepee
$695

About
This Mid-Century Modern era Indigenous American miniature teepee is unmarked, but presumed to have been made in Canada in approximately 1945. This teepee was most likely made as a Souvenir or toy for tourists and sold at a 'Trading Post' which were common small shops in the Canadian Northern regions. The teepee is constructed of several, likely cedar, sticks for posts and covered with a hand-painted cotton cloth. The sides show vignettes of Indigenous American Chiefs and hunters and both the top and bottom are decorated with a border and arrow points.
