A wonderful, beautifully designed/decorated and executed Native North American Indian Pima tribe hand woven oval shaped basket made of natural organic materials/fibers. The piece is quite a stunning work and is in pristine original vintage condition with a fantastic aged natural patina. The Pima, also known as Akimel O'odham ("River People"), are a Native American tribe primarily located in south-central Arizona and are renowned for the basket making and ingenious geometrical pattern designs. From an Arizona indigenous art and basket collection. A special and engaging piece. Would be a great addition to any Native American or Pima basket/artifacts collection or make for an eye catching stand alone accent piece in about any setting. Dimensions: 4.25" high x 7.5" diameter
