About the Item

Exceptionally large industrial nautical wooden pulley block with double wood sheaves made from oak, steel. Very rustic and stylish item with a romantic wear of hard labour. Pulley Blocks are used as a method to manually lift heavy loads. Blocks like these are or were also used to guide and change the direction of a sailing vessel's line for sails.
