About the Item
Antique Folk Art Kubbstol from Sweden. A Kubbstol is a dug-out pine trunk chair. It's a primitive construction with a simple design and this particular piece is made from a large log of northern Swedish pine. This chair is made the year 1912 as the text inside says. It is in original condition with original lacquer which has become naturally distressed by time and use for over 100 years. The chair is in structurally sound condition with a healthy and solid frame. The text inside says: ”Memory from Granådalen. Elfdalen year 1912. P.A. Larsson” / ”this was the 7th chair, counting from the root and up.”
