About the Item

An original oil on canvas by the renowned artist Peter Howson OBE. The painting is entitled 'Towards Heaven' and was painted in 2000, signed lower right. Peter Howson OBE, was born in 1958, London, and moved to Scotland at the age of four. He was the Official British War Artist in the Bosnian Civil war 1993, he is established as a leading figurative painter, he is renowned for his penetrating insight into the human condition, and his heroic portrayals of the mighty and meek. Oil on canvas in original frame, 2000. canvas size: 250 mm x 250 mm.
