About
Internationally known artist Purvis Young (1943- 2010) was recognized as a master painter by the art world. An “outsider” artist, Young was self-taught and self-educated. His work was as prolific as it was unique, especially when you consider he painted on just about any found object. Young’s art can be found in many private collections, public institutions and museums throughout the world over.
This painting is done with acrylic house paint on different colored vinyl material which the artist found near his studio, and then glued onto cardboard. Signed by the artist in the upper right side, "Young". This work of art was acquired directly from the artist while he was working in his art studio in an area of Miami called Wynwood.
