Starring Bryan Leung, "Cantonen Iron Kung Fu" was a martial arts film from Hong Kong made in 1979. Frequently, theaters in Ghana were unable to import official posters. Enterprising artists would paint advertisements in their own style. The resulting genre became is a unique piece of cinema history, drawing the eye's of collectors from around the world. This is a work by "Wosco Art Services" who reinterpreted the original poster in a local painterly vernacular. The "Guy Jesus" moniker is a fantastic mistranslation of the original characters, emphasizing the interesting cross-cultural interpretations at play in this work.
