Amish Quilt: Center Square

About

Although Midwestern Amish quilts were typically made of cotton, this fine example is of deep hues of purple and brown with black inner frames in wool. Traditionally hand-quilted in black thread are feather, wreath, parallel line and shell patterns, skillfully stitched. Backing of plain muslin.
