This beautiful American Applique Quilt was hand stitched in the early part of the 20th century. The American Applique Quilt is in a “Basket” pattern with the basket in brown color and the flowers in yellow, pink, and ivory on an ivory background. The quilt was hand stitched of individual pieces in each frame. It has four columns with each column having five baskets. It is truly a labor of love and dedication. The hand stitched quilts from the 19th and the early 20th centuries have become extremely collectable. The vibrant colors are red, green, yellow, blue, brown, and black. The quilt resembles the design of the American "Crazy Quilts". The silk quilt would be an ideal piece as a table cover or wall art.
