Antique American Hand Woven Hooked Rug Long Runner, Circa 1880-1900

About the Item

Antique American folk art hand woven wool hooked rug. Circa 1880 - 1900. Good original color / well defined design / overall nice pile. A hard to find long runner / corridor / hallway rug. Measures 150" long x 60" w. As found from estate w/ old repairs - glued down burlap patches on back to stabilize torn areas. Further restoration for stabilization w/ fully backed canvas and or burlap is highly recommended ☆☆☆☆ READ CONDITION REPORT IN COMMENT SECTION BELOW ☆☆☆☆☆

    Additions or alterations made to the original: torn areas with old repairs w/ glued down burlap patches on back. Repaired: old glued down burlap repairs on back for stabilization of torn areas. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. torn areas stabilized a long time ago w/ glued down burlap patches on back. there is a hole in rug - see pictures 5,6,7. we have original piece that partially fits in hole. rug is fragile should be completely rebacked w/ canvas and or bulap.
