Antique Nomadic Artistic Kurdish Rug in Terracotta, Greens, Blackish-Indigo

About the Item

Divine Antique Nomadic Artistic Gem Terracotta, Greens, Blackish-Indigo About: The epitome of what antique rugs should be; from design to color, and to artistic expression. The iconic elongated anchor medallion flanked by the deconstructed Herati design is something to marvel at. Whether you know rugs and can identify the many unusual elements about this piece, or you are a novice with a good eye - this piece appeals to the entire spectrum. It's subtle color palette gives a nice soothing feel, only to be anchored by the deep charcoal-like black secondary color, then filled with variations of teals and blues. Heavy and exaggerated bands of abrash rip through this piece like it was made to be talked about, but we know only what we don't know - was it the weaver's intention? Or did she simply allow the random nature of selecting wool from the batch to determine the outcome of the final piece? The beauty of this art is in the mystique - I hope you love this piece as much as we do, as you can see all the allure in antique rugs in this little nomadic gem alone. Size: 4 x 6.5 Age: Antique Pile: Low This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available.
