Apollo Belvedere Sculpture

About the Item

This is a reproduction of one of the most famous sculptures of the post-Hellenistic period, the Apollo Belvedere, which is now housed in the Vatican Museum and dates back to the 2nd century AD. The statue represents the Greek god Apollo having just killed a python. During the Renaissance, this sculpture was seen as the maximum expression of idealized beauty.
