Early 20th Century Scratch Built Church Model
About the Item
Early 20th century scratch built Church model
We share what we love, and we love this scratch-built pine model of a church. Hand carved detail with glass windows, and a wind-up clock in the tower. The surface has aged naturally with a lovely, crackled effect. Built on two pine boards this large model would make a great piece of sculptural art.
Size of inches: H 23” x W 23” x D 12”
Condition: Aged
Origin: English
Age: Early 20th century
Completely solid in structure and form, Natural wear across all this item, the pine wood material is worn in certain areas as shown. The clock does not work unfortunately, and the mechanism is jammed. The glass shows lots of stains and age. There are a few structural cracks to the model, one across the frame of the window and another to the where the main building meets the tower, there are firmly in place and do not affect the structure in anyway as this damage has taken place naturally over time by the wood moving. An aged antique item so please expect this in the condition as the photos aim to show.
