Vintage Santon de Provence French Clay Doll Figurine Old Woman Holding Clay Pot

About the Item

This highly collectible and fascinating figurine represents the santon of Provence. The santon is made of terra-cotta (head, body, legs, forearms, hands, feet,). The base is made of wood. The arms are connected to the body and allow articulation (simultaneously lift both arms) Traditional dress of lovely provincial fabrics and delicate lace representing french Provence. Series of French santons, figurines related to the theme of agriculture. The figure represents inhabitants of Provence, in her typical clothes. This figurine of santon is in a very fine state of preservation.
