A rare untouched example of two hand crafted early 19th century marionette puppets, likely to be French in origin. Their heads made from carved pine, porcelain arms and papier Mache bodies. One still retains its original clothing, A truly charming example and rare to be in such good condition. Of museum quality in our humble opinion.

Completely solid in structure and form, Natural patination across all surfaces due to age and obvious use, with loss to surface detail on both examples. No breaks or losses however weathered in all the right places. They do not stand alone. work as shown to one side.
