About the Item
"Cat with a Bow Seated" cast iron still bank is a difficult bank to acquire and is listed in Andy Moore's "The Penny Bank Book" as #364 and rated a "D" (A to F rarity scale--A most common). It is not to be confused with "Seated Cat with Soft Hair" which is more common ("B" rated) and faces the other way and is painted different colors. "Cat With Bow" was made by the Grey Iron Casting Company, Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania in 1922. It is painted in gold with no other colors (as it should be). This example is in excellent all original condition with no repairs and no repaint, and has the original side screw which is unscrewed to remove the saved coins. There are many reproductions of this particular bank; they are identified by a slightly smaller casting and inferior, newer paint. Also by a "rough" coin slot, and separation at the seams. Note the tight seams on my example (see images). Reproductions are also painted differently.
Dimensions 4 3/8" high x 2 7/8" wide at the base, x 1 3/4" deep.
Note: After 40 plus years of dealing and collecting toys, I am justly qualified to guarantee and present the authenticity of antique and vintage toys and banks; important considering fakes and reproductions in the marketplace

Vintage Tin Wind Up Toy by Lindstrom, "Dancing Katinka" American, Circa 1930
By Lindstrom Tool & Toy Company 1
Located in Incline Village, NV
Antique toys like this (wind ups) are difficult to find in outstanding operating condition as this one (see the video attached) because of the rough play they would have received from the children who owned them. In very good and all original condition and paint in green, white, yellow, and flesh tone; the paint and lithography has no touch up or repaint of any kind; there is zero restoration.
To operate, just turn clockwise the attached clockwork wind up key on the back of the girl and the she dances around in a circular motion for quite some time. "Dancing Katinka" is an all tin wind up toy...
