About the Item

Discover a piece of history with this vintage Richters German anchor blocks building toy, also known as Der Geschickte Baumeister. Made in Rudolstadt, Germany, circa 1900, this set comes in its original wooden box with printed paper labels and includes stone blocks and instructional booklets. Despite its age, this building toy is in remarkable original condition with only minor wear consistent with use and age. The wooden box is weak and the lid is broken, but this only adds to the charm and authenticity of this unique piece. The stone blocks have a beautiful patina that has been carefully preserved over the years. The anchor stone pieces used in this building toy are made from a mixture of quartz sand, chalk, and linseed oil. These materials are precisely pressed in molds to ensure that the stones fit together perfectly. The stones come in three colors that imitate the red brick, tan limestone, and blue slate commonly found in European buildings. Whether you're a collector of vintage toys or a fan of unique building sets, this Richters German Anchor Blocks Building Toy is sure to impress. ______ Richters German anchor blocks building toy / Der Geschickte Baumeister Made in Rudolstadt, Germany, circa 1900.
