About the Item

This 'Kalabubu' necklace, also known as the 'head-hunter' necklace made out of coconut and brass is the most important ornament for the men of Southern Nias Island, North Sumatra, Indonesia. This necklace can only be worn by warriors who had proved themselves in battle. Measurements: Diameter 20.5cm x Height 2cm Weight: 261grams.
