About the Item
1930’s Josef Hurka Copper Pendant Lamp – Napoko.
Exceptional copper lamp designed by Hurka and produced at Napako (NÁstrojaři-PÁsíři-KOvotlačitelé). Hurka was their principle designer and together with Napoko produced some well known mid Century designs, especially from the 1950s to 1970’s. The Czech republic has a rich international history of lighting production. In exceptional original condition, the lamp is suspended on the original brass fittings and come complete and ready to hang. All our lamps have been carefully restored and all electrical components have been checked, in the case of these fittings we left the original Bakelite fittings but replaced all cable and related components. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Each lamp comes completely wired and ready to install. The lamp is fitted with standard E27 threaded lamp holders for which a wide range of modern and vintage style filament bulbs are widely available. We do not currently sell bulbs and recommend LED bulbs 6W maximum. Listing is for one lamp. The lamp is currently wired and fitted for UK and EU compliance. The lamp can be wired for compliance in the US or any global market. The lamp hangs 77cm from the ceiling to the bottom of the lamp. It is possible for a small charge to shorten or extend the hanging length.
Workshop Report:
We take electrical safety very seriously, our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that every lamp leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. Each lamp has been cleaned and restored and all original electrical components have been removed and replaced with modern European CE standard components to BS EN 60598. Each lamp is individually tested and labelled to BS EN 60598. Each lamp comes completely wired.
