1970s Italian Chandelier in White and Clear Murano Glass, Vistosi Giogali Style
About the Item
We offer for sale a mid-20th century modern chandelier, certainly made in Italy as we can see from the Murano glass that composes it, between the 60s and 70s.
The design of this chandelier recalls a very well-known model called "Giogali", designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for the historic glass brand "Vistosi".
Giogali" It is a decorative ceiling lamp, made up of many crystal hooks; they can be hooked as you like on a chromed metal structure and deciding how long or crowded you want the chandelier.
Once the chandelier is on, the handcrafted crystal hooks refract the light creating splendid effects.
The chandelier that we are showing you differs from the classic Giogali for the splendid Murano workmanship of its glass hooks, not simply transparent but embellished with splendid fluid and organic white lines that are part of the glass paste and not painted.
The chandelier has a diameter of 41cm by 110cm in height, 42 cm of the 110 of the height are composed solely of glass.
The design of the chandelier that you see in the photo is composed of 45 glass, those that we received at the time of purchase but we do not know if it was originally composed of more hooks.
Know in fact, that you have 2 spare glass that will be sent to you at the time of purchase.
This type of chandeliers can change shape over time at your pleasure, each hook is a module that you can subtract from the composition or buy others in transparent glass to create a real waterfall.
Each Giogali hook measures 13cm wide by 9cm high.
The chandelier is in good vintage condition.
