19th Century French Gothic Style Hand Forged Iron Nine-Light Chandelier
About the Item
Add dramatic character and artisanal charm to your space with this elegant wrought iron chandelier. Hand-forged in France circa 1880 in a rustic Gothic style, the circular fixture features a substantial riveted frame suspended by three heavy chains that converge at a decorative crown fitted with a top hanging loop. The generously scaled chandelier is fitted with nine electrified lights, each mounted on a wide iron drip pan and topped with a wax-style candle sleeve and flame-shaped bulb.
Aged to a naturally oxidized patina, the ironwork displays a robust, industrial character with medieval overtones, complete with scrolling iron hooks, riveted joints, and a striking central chain composed of linked rings. The large chandelier is newly wired and ready for installation.
In excellent condition commensurate with age and use, this bold fixture is ideal for entry halls, dining rooms, or great rooms in search of a dramatic focal point with old-world charm and timeless appeal.
