19th Century Louis XV Style Giltwood 18-Light Chandelier

About the Item

This sumptuous fixture has a pleasingly organic theme. It is essentially composed of elegantly shaped tubular arms, richly adorned with carved and gilded acanthus leaves. It is large and imposing but also has a naturalistic aspect. While probably always electrified, the wires we replaced were of considerable vintage. We believe it to be from the late 19th or early 20th century, the Belle Époque. Pay special attention to the dimensions; it is larger than the photo suggests.
