About the Item
An exquisite mid 19th century baroque-style chandelier with bronze armature offering six (6) lights with finely cut and beveled clear quartz crystal prisms featuring seven different designs, one for each of the tiers, and ranging in shape from leaf, tree and tear-drop patterns in different sizes. Embellishments within the prisms include six and eight pointed stars. Clear hand-blown glass runs along center from top to bottom and ends in a beveled round ball pendant. Sweden, circa 1860. This very beautifully crafted chandelier originally was used with candles and was newly wired by us in keeping with all UL approved parts and labor. The prisms were designed to refract the light, adding sparkle to any room. Ideal in an entrance, dining area or bedroom!

- Condition:Replacements made: Candles were replaced with wax cylinders over sockets imitating candles for candelabra bulbs and chandelier was wired to American UL standards. Wear consistent with age and use. The product of excellent design and craftsmanship, the quality is readily visible throughout, especially in the smallest details. In very good to excellent condition.
