About the Item
An old French silver washed octagonal glass shade set in a brass top/socket. While the shade originates from the 1920s or 30s the brass top is probably Scandinavian and from the 1960s or 70s. Suitable for your kitchen, small hallway or bedroom. It has a bit of wear but is in working order and has a switch to its cord.
Measurements: Diameter: 22 cm, Height: 14 cm.

This stunning and finer quality Art Deco ceiling lamp was realized by glass studio Léon Auguste Hugue (Paris, 1878 – Clichy-la-Garenne, 1970) who began his career as a bronze fitter. In 1907, he established his own bronze lighting manufacturing business at 14 rue Pierre Levée. In 1913, he created a new limited partnership, "L. Hugue, fabrique de bronzes et d’appareils d’éclairage," at number 10 in the same street.
