Art Deco vintage circular chandelier or pendant from brass by Hugo Gorge circa 1930 Vienna.
A stunning wavy line chandelier with soft yellow cords by Hugo Gorge circa 1930 Vienna connected with six cords and brass fittings.
Six E 27 sockets with LED bulbs
This slightly curved chandelier shows a sleek design, which is easily to combine with any interior like contemporary or mid century modern, traditional or rustic.
Very good condition with signs of age and use like brass patina
Hugo Gorge ( 1883 - 1934 )
Hugo Gorge was an important architect and designer in Vienna in the inter war period.
After the First world war Hugo Gorge dedicated himself to the design of furnitures and interiors.
He was art director of the interior house Rudolf Lorenz, he designed chandeliers for Melzer & Neuhart and designed fittings for the important Wiener Werkstätte.
He had a guide role for the development of the Modern furniture ( Modernes Möbel ).
Hugo Gorge was invited by Josef Frank to design a flat for the Vienna estate
( Wiener Werkbundsiedlung ) 1930.
