Art Nouveau bronze chandelier with iridescent glass shades
A luxurious model of a chandelier from the Art Nouveau period. The body of the chandelier is made of patinated bronze with rich plant decoration and perfectly rendered details. The chandelier underwent a demanding restoration with the replacement of the entire electrical installation. The glasses are made in the workshops of an artistic glassblower who specializes in art nouveau glass and perfectly masters the techniques of original production - a big advantage is that it is possible to finish other things in the same design - for example wall lamps or another chandelier. The electrical installation is new, both internal and the supply cable, which is in the old style with fabric braiding, but according to today's standards with double insulation and grounding - 3 core. The inner part of the chandelier is for classic light bulbs with an E27 base, currently there are insert reductions for E14 candle threads, but they are easy to unscrew. The lower bulbs are with candles. There is a chandelier for 8 bulbs in total. Provenance: France. Date: around 1900. Date of last restoration: 2023. Condition: excellent, fully functional. The weight of the chandelier is 17 kg.
