Szabó Erzsébet glass designer, Merited Artist, a representative of the Hungarian studio glass movement. Born in Budapest in 1935, during her studies, she was a student of the glass artist Júlia Báthory, who had returned from Paris, at the High School of Fine and Applied Arts and the College of Applied Arts (UMPRUM) in Prague in 1963-1964. During her productive career, she worked at the Moser glass factory in Karlovy Vary, at Salviatti in Murano. Erzsébet L. Szabó's diverse activities go beyond objects intended for practical use, as she designs glass partitions, lead-filled colored glass windows, coverings and chandeliers in the field of architectural glass.
