About the Item
The Assoluto Chandelier was designed by Betony Vernon in 2024 as a a limited series of 6. The 1st edition was commissioned by Pianegonda Jewellery to crown their newly renovated boutique in via Gesù, Milan. It was installed on the occasion of the Milan Design Week and 62nd edition of the Salone del Mobile and is permanently exhibited in the boutique.
THE ASSOLUTO CHANDELIER is composed of a mirror polished ellipsoid disk, from which emerge 18 curved tubular arms terminating in lathed spherical cups. This luminous object celebrates the endangered craft of the lathe, an artisanal savoir faire that Vernon aims to protect. The chandelier is made from chromed steel and brass, when assembled, it measures 2,4m x 1,20m x 2,4m.
