About the Item

A most elegant and finely decorated Baltic 19th century Neo-Classical st. Crystal and Ormolu chandelier. This stunning twelve arm twelve light chandelier is centered by a circular Ormolu base with prism cut pendants hanging below that supports the four broadly curved bands decorated with additional prism cut pendants below. Each of the four curved bands contains a section with three upward facing scrolling arms with rosette designs in the center. Coming from the top of each scrolling arm are tapered vertical stands that display the pierced bobeches that present the circular mottled edge candle cups above. Four fine Ormolu chains lead upwards from the circular base to the top crown which is decorated similarly to the base with its circular central frame and four curved bands all accented with prism cut pendants hanging below. The fine chain continues upward and attach to the mottled edged circular canopy. *Shades, Canopies and Chains shown for display purposes, sold separately.
