About the Item

Extremely decorative, heavy and high quality chandelier. Date of origin estimated circa 1880-1920. This chandelier impresses with its uniqueness. Large bronze nude figure as a mythical creature (presumably a kind of mermaid) with one hand clinging to a beautiful, large fire-gilded shell. Out of the shell rises a large, impressive bouquet of leaves and flowers. In the other hand, this beautiful mythical creature holds her bow (painted bronze), which she wears around the body. Every single item is down to the smallest detail, lovingly worked. This dreamlike bronze chandelier comes from a large North German mansion. Very good general condition. Some lampshades are damaged and can be replaced. Height about 140 cm Width about 77 cm Bronze chandelier, with large nude and fire-gilded shell.
