circa 1920 Art Nouveau Brass and Crystal Chandelier
About the Item
c. 1920s, an antique chandelier with a brass body.
This piece takes inspiration from Victorian and other late 19th/early 20th century fixtures. Its extravagance is also reminiscent of the late stages of the Art Nouveau style movement, the precursor to Art Deco. This ceiling-mounted piece features electric faux candles that are topped with figural flame shades. The multitude of cut charms hanging from the bases of the candles are of cut crystal manufacture and are paired with smaller cut beads above.
Exhibits minor signs of wear including tarnish and scratches and is missing two candle shades. Uses standard chandelier socket bulbs. Please note that this chandelier is meant to be hardwired and does not come with a plug.
This chandelier measures 27" in diameter and 32" in height.
