About the Item
Square copper pendant lamp was designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd in Sweden in the 1960s. The light spreads from the perforated copper part at the top and the white inside with green glass beads to all sides below. All are original and in vintage condition with signs of age and use. The original white painted inside is patinated and the outside shows patina such as some dents and scratches.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
