All-handcrafted, all original and very stylish Dutch Arts & Crafts pendant light. Less than one month ago we found the exact same design Arts and Crafts pendant and that is why we were extra surprised to find its slightly smaller brother, also in very good condition. In image numbers 14, 15 and 16 you can see what we are talking about. So if you, for example, are looking for a stylish and all-handcrafted pendant to grace your hallway, stairwell or landing and you could do with a slightly smaller one as well then this early 1900s European work of lighting art (by itself or combined with its larger brother) could be perfect for you. Near-pairs like this truly are a rare find and they can only have been made by the same maker. The stunning, amber color, mouthblown, single piece, cylindrical and thick art glass shade is what makes this rare Arts and Crafts pendant extra desirable. Also, because it radiates a warm light that cannot be captured in a photo. We have taken the antique glass shade out and cleaned it inside and out and apart from some minor, superficial scratches it could not be in better condition. Luckily former owners took very good care of this lantern light, because an art glass shade of this age, quality and beauty is extremely hard to replace. Also, because this shade perfectly fits in the circular brass frame in which it rests. The brass frame with the wonderfully subtle style elements too is beautifully hand-crafted and in the best condition possible. Thanks to its design and thanks to the art glass, amber colored shade this stunning pendant, in the manner of Jan Eisenloeffel, radiates a warm and atmospheric light that is second to none. Finally, the original antique brass chain and the brass canopy are the perfect finish to this, ideal for a smaller living space, pendant. It is stylish and timeless light fixtures like this that will certainly help towards making your house your home. Mind you, this ceiling lamp too is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and it will easily take an 80 to 100 watt, regular American E26 screwthread bulb. This antique light with its perfect patina can only be described as great value for money.
