Early 19th Century Russian Empire Opaline and Bronze Chandelier

About the Item

This chandelier was made in Russia in the first half of the 19th century, circa 1805. This piece features four anthemions on the top rim above four bronze chains attached to an urn-shaped, floral-painted opaline glass body with a top bronze finial. The four arms are of cast bronze with opaline glass bobeches. The base of the piece features a central acorn finial.
