Early 20th Cent. Carved Wood Parrots Chandelier w/ Hanging Glass Shaded Lights
About the Item
A dark walnut-stained wood chandelier in a 4-arm structure of basic, stylized, hand-carved birds that come together at the center pilaster with top and bottom turned finials. It hangs by four chains with an equally interesting canopy that mimics the finials. 4 original, porcelain paddle sockets hang by a fabric-covered cord from the birds' mouths. Completed with metal leaf-design socket covers and tapered, hexagonal, frosted glass shades. With power switches on the sockets. Newly wired. The shades have been replaced. Early 20th century. Measures: 20" width x 20" depth x 19.5" height.
