With early 20th century light fixtures as one of our specialties, you can imagine how thrilled we were when we purchased this rare and beautifully made Art Deco pendant. We have sold many unique light fixtures to clients on all continents, but we hardly ever really know (in detail) how the craftsman managed to create all those remarkably designed lamps. If you look at the deep relief in this glass shade and the perfect symmetry and depth all around then this Art Deco pendant truly is mesmerizing. For it to have survived is one thing, for it to be in this great condition is a real bonus and they just don't make 'em like this anymore. The combination of the shade with the patinated brass rod and the off-white bakelite gallery and canopy, to us, is a match made in heaven. Apart from a hairline crack in the bakelite gallery which does not affect the stabilty or strength (see image 11) this unique and stunning Art Deco pendant is of museum quality and condition.
